Graduation Requirements
Saint Joe follows the Indiana graduation requirements for students in the Class of 2023 and beyond, known as Graduation Pathways.
The intent of the Graduation Pathways is to ensure that every Hoosier student graduates from high school with a strong foundation of academic and technical skills, an awareness of and engagement with career options, and employability skills. At Saint Joe, we have woven opportunities for students to meet the pathway requirements into our curricular offerings.
Students must satisfy Indiana graduation requirements in three ways. The ways that Saint Joe meets these requirements are described below. To learn more about the Indiana Graduation Pathways, please contact our Counseling and College Advising Office at (574) 233-6137, ext. 516.
- High School Diploma: All Saint Joe graduates meet the Indiana Core 40, Core 40 with Honors, or Core 40 with Technical Honors course requirements.
- Employability Skills: To meet this requirement, Saint Joe students must complete a Service-Based Learning project, which includes a minimum of 20 hours of Christian service. Most students will complete this in their sophomore year by following the directions provided by their Theology teachers.
- Postsecondary Ready Competencies: There are several options to meet this requirement, including:
- Fulfilling the requirements of either the Academic or Technical Honors diploma.
- Meeting the benchmark score on the SAT, ACT, or ASVAB.
- Earning a C average or higher in at least three AP or Dual Credit courses.
