Coach Ben Downey grew up loving Saint Joe Football, idolizing the teams his brother & brother's friends were a part of. Ben played for Saint Joe from 1992-1995, where he helped his team win the 3A state championship his senior year. After graduating from college, he joined Coach Strati's staff at Saint Joe for a couple of years. Afterwards, he was Defensive Coordinator on his brother Kevin's staff at SJ from 2003-2009, highlighted by a Runner-Up finish in the 2007 3A State Championship game. Ben was Head Coach at Saint Joe from 2010-2015, highlighted by Runner-Up finishes in the 2010 & 2011 3A State Championship games, & a 4A Semi-State appearance in the 2015 season. Ben returned as Saint Joe Head Coach for the 2022 season & is surrounded by his ideal coaching staff.
