John Smolinski just finished his 5th season as the Head Baseball Coach for Saint Joe. Coach Smo graduated from Saint Joe in 2007 and attended Manchester where he lettered all four years as a catcher on the baseball team. He began coaching in 2012 under Head Coach John Gumpf. Coach Smo served as an assistant coach for 8 seasons. During that time, Saint Joe won an NIC Championship, five Sectional Championships, a Regional Championship, Semi-State Championship, and a State Championship in 2017. Under Coach Smo's leadership, the team has won two Sectional Championships and has had many players make All-NIC, All-State, Academic All-State, and the North/South All-Star Team. Coach Smo was named District C Coach of the Year in 2025.
