Coach Chris Kleva is a passionate hockey coach with over 35 years of experience. He fell in love with the game at a young age and had a successful playing career at Saint Joseph High School and the University of Notre Dame. Coach Kleva has been with the Saint Joe Hockey program for 25 years as both a player and coach. His coaching highlights include eight Indiana State Tournament Runner-up finishes, eight MHSHL League Championships, and eight City Tournament Championships. He has also led teams to three appearances in the USA Hockey National Tournament. Coach Kleva prioritizes challenging his student-athletes academically, personally, and athletically while promoting values such as teamwork, trust, commitment, and respect. He believes in making a positive impact on young lives and teaching lifelong skills through athletics.
